• Outline the hip anatomy and recognize ultrasound appearance of the normal hip.
• Identify common hip pathology as seen with ultrasound.
• State the importance of dynamic ultrasound imaging of the snapping hip.
• Recognize that bursitis is uncommon in a patient with a painful trochanter.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Physicians, PA’s, sonographers and other medical professionals who will be involved with performing and/or interpreting MSK ultrasound examinations. Physicians may include (but is not limited to) PM&R, orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, pain management, primary care, internal medicine, and radiology.
